Scope: A construction defect was identified in a new $60 million multifamily project where kitchen, full bathroom, and half bathroom cabinetry had been installed before the gypcrete dried, causing moisture damage and microbial issues. A plan was developed to renovate all 262 units within 12 weeks. Each unit was placed under containment, and cabinetry was removed, damaged parts replaced or repaired, and reinstalled. The drywall was removed and replaced, and all painting matched the existing finish. Appliances, plumbing, and electrical systems were also removed and replaced according to specifications.
